Privacy Policy

In short: the program sends nothing except its version number. Below is that statement written in the form the law requires. Effective October 14, 2026.

1. Information we collect

• The program: when it starts, it fetches the ad list and sends the program version number. It does not send your name, email, computer name, files, scan results, browser history or anything else. The server does not store IP addresses.
• Ad totals: the server keeps only totals per date (Korean time) of "how many times the program was launched" and "which ad was shown and clicked how many times". It cannot tell who clicked.
• The website: this site uses no cookies and no visitor-tracking code. The hosting provider (Cloudflare) may keep access logs for a short time to operate the service.
• Contact email: the email address and message you send are kept in order to reply and solve the problem, and are deleted on request.

2. What the program reads on your computer

Adware Scan reads browser history, bookmarks, notification permission lists, installed programs and scheduled tasks, and program settings in the registry. All of this is processed on your computer only and never leaves it. Before anything is removed, a backup is saved to your Documents folder.

3. Advertising

PC Buster is a free program funded by in-window ads. Ads are shown only inside the program window (a banner at the bottom and one line of text at the top), do not open a browser until the user clicks, and are never shown outside the program window or when the program closes. When an affiliate ad (one that earns us a commission on a purchase) is shown, that fact is stated next to the ad. Clicking an ad takes you directly to the advertiser's site, and any data handling from there follows that site's policy.

In accordance with Article 50-5 of Korea's Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (the Network Act), the consent screen before installation states that ads are shown, what the program is for, and how to uninstall it, and obtains your consent.

4. Retention and deletion

• Ad totals are kept for statistical purposes. They are values that cannot identify an individual.
• Contact emails are deleted within one year after the reply is complete, or immediately on request.
• Uninstalling the program deletes all of its settings and installed files on your computer. The backup folder (Documents\광고창 청소기\백업, i.e. "Ad Pop-up Cleaner\Backup", which keeps its Korean name) is left in place for recovery and you can delete it yourself.

5. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell or hand over collected information to third parties. We do not give user information to advertisers either.

Terms of Use

• PC Buster is free to use for individuals and businesses. Redistribution is allowed only as the unmodified original file from this site; bundling it into another program's installer or redistributing it with the ads changed is not allowed.
• The program is provided as is. It asks for confirmation and creates backups before removing anything, but we recommend backing up important files separately before use. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for damages arising from use.
• Ad display, collected information and uninstall method are as stated in the privacy policy above and on the installation consent screen.
• Changes to the terms or the policy will be noted on this page and in the release notes.
